I love her hair ornaments...I could use something like that, myself. My hair's always in my face.

Gorgeous colours, too. I love the understated and gentle palettes your work always has. Very tranquil feel.

The face of a WOMAN, but the body of a child.
I noticed, her chest, her shoulders, her torso is shaped small to the head, and almost as if I were looking at a five year old's body and a twenty year old's face.

i dont know if i agree Axterxes, I think its just a high sash and small breasts. If thats what the artist was going for i would think that she could make it more clear that that.

Yeah, Axterxes is right. Her head looks massively too big for that body. Nice face though. I bet you would paint the prettiest boys... *hint hint*

The breasts are bound to facilitate the obi and obi sash when wearing the traditional kimono or ukata (or whatever the Tiawanese equivalent is, Vovo?).

As for the head/body porportions; children's heads are larger in comparison to their bodies than adults, and I've seen enough oriental children made-up and costumed like this to know that many look way beyond their years (though this girl looks more caucasian).

I see nothing out of the ordinary with these porportions - they do lend to, and to me, identify, the youthfulness of the girl.

As for your art, Vovo, just beautiful. The water color technique is superb, and the mood is tranquil and inviting - just as the title suggests.

Yehey new artwork from Master Vovo!! yes she looks more of a western girl than an asian one. the hair ornaments look real enough. do you have a self-portrait art?

I think it is very beautiful. I thought at first that the ear was a little too long, but I was mistaken, when I measured it the ear is just right. The angle had me thrown off a bit, and I think that is the angle by which we view the face, as well as the wonderful flesh tones, that make this such a nice picture.

Soft, beautiful details. You have a lovely painting style! I love the shine on her lips. Her body seems far too small for her head, though.
